Carol Jean Knupp, 86, of Stronghurst, Illinois, passed away at 11:57 p.m. Friday, April 12, 2024, at Oak Lane Nursing & Rehab in Stronghurst.She was born July 26, 1937 in Baldwin Park, California, to Dewey John and Lucia Rose Belle (Maher) Mosher. On June 12, 1955, she married John Edward Knupp in Viola, Illinois.Carol was a dedicated mother, selfless spouse, and joyful child of God. A warm homemaker and avid gardener, Carol also worked at the ASCS office in Stronghurst. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Henderson County Home Extension, and Red Hat Society.Carol loved to crochet. Music was her heart, which she joyfully returned to God by serving as organist and pianist for several churches. She also taught Sunday School at the Viola Methodist Church. A lifelong learner, Carol graduated from Winola High School and attended Carl Sandburg College.Survivors include her husband, five children: John William "Bill" (Deb) Knupp of Carman, Illinois, Linda (Kevin) Damer
