Charles F. "Sonny" Bundy, 90, of Oquawka, Illinois, passed away at 1:10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family.He was born on Nov. 28, 1933, in Gladstone, Illinois, the son of Charles C. and Bertha (Tracy) Bundy. Charlie was raised and educated in Gladstone and graduated from Gladstone High School.Charlie proudly served in the United States Army from 1950-1953. He married Janice Meyer on July 17, 1962, in Stronghurst, Illinois. She preceded him in death on July 8, 2024.Charlie worked for the Teamsters driving a construction truck for several years. He later worked as a mechanic until his retirement.Charlie enjoyed racing cars in his younger years. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren.Surviving Charlie are his children, Lori Willits of Gladstone, Donna (Roger) Harmsen of New London, Missouri, Doyle Bundy of Denver, Colorado; his grandchildren, Victor Hastings, Chuck (Lora) Newton, Mike (Hollie) Neal,
