William D. "Bill" Roberts, age 89, of Stronghurst, Illinois, passed away at 1:35 a.m. Monday, Nov. 11, 2024, at Oak Lane Nursing & Rehab in Stronghurst.He was born Nov. 14, 1934 in Higbee, Missouri, the son of Harold and Emma South Roberts. On Dec. 6, 1959, he married Jeanette L. Rogers in Miami, Oklahoma.Mr. Roberts was a veteran of the United States Army. He served eleven years of active duty, and seventeen years in the Army Reserve. He was employed at JI Case Company in Burlington for many years. He was a member of the Stronghurst Presbyterian Church and the Stronghurst American Legion.Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Sherri (Tom) Leath of Roseville, Illinois; one son, Rex Roberts of Bloomington, Illinois; eight grandchildren, Jennifer Roberts, Christy Philips, Amanda Peck, Katie Roberts, Shea Roberts, Dustin Leath, Allison Kallenbach, and Christin McCoy; 12 great-grandchildren, Luke, Addison and Eva Philips, Emmett and Noah Peck, Wylloh Roberts, Ryan Leath, Lucas,
